Welcoming a new year with old friends
This new year brought with it a sense of nostalgia.... and it was real fun to spend some quality time with old friends, old thoughts and yes old memories that were polished. The B'sc gang of SSMRV college 1993 - 1996 met for a new year at the very place they used to celebrate new year while at college, my place, rooftop with music and hic hic hic.... after 11 looooonnnnggggg years. What changed this time around were as follows.... music which used to blast from an 80 watt double deck 2 in 1, now came froma 4600 watt 3 dvd changer sony hi-fi system. The hic hic hurray that used to normally be UB beer, now had turned into hi-fi Scotch, people who were single, now got their spouses alongside, bellies have indeed become larger and dance moves have indeed become shorter. What remained unchanged though was the spirit to dance, the same old gang, the same old greeting, the backslaps, the anthakshari duels, neeta's constantly worried looks, Mag's jokes and double meaning dialogue...
