This week saw the debut of a Green week at the place I work, Some of the material I type in is infact thoughts from like minded people on the initiative to reduce Global warming, pollution. I just hope that some of you who do manage to read this, get inspired by what I have put in. Let us save Mother Earth so that our children can have a better tomorrow. Well, this blog is dedicated to the review of a resort that is located in southern most Goa, it is meant to be a extract of what I felt about the hotel, here goes. Yes this is exactly how the entrance to this resort looks, it looks like a Ship .... :) and at the steering wheel/deck of this building acts as the disco. The Pool is refreshing for a dip and the landscaping is neat, there is a wonderful view of the river Sal. A few more plus points about this resort is that it has its own private beach, and there is a shack near it and the water sports available there are stupendous :) Other standard tourist attractions like shops for souvenirs , hotels that have ample beer and sea food, and the works are definately pluses. Yes those are the exact thoughts I had after a visit to the Jungle Lodges camp (or should I call it resort) in Bandipura . The sheer thrill of driving all the way in the desi SUV Scorpio in the rain is a pleasure to be experienced... esply with the potholes full with slush. Let me recount what I did ..... My old batch mates of SSMRV were company, we started from bangalore at 8:15, the route took us to mysore and then on to Nanjanagud , (a brief halt over at Mandya for a break), a bit farther from Nanjanagud is Gundlupet and lo beyond enter into the ooty route to reach Bandipura , let me inform you the deviation you take here on is where in the potholes start...... At bandipura the Jungle lodges resort was surprisingly neat, no T.V, no conventional AC, just fun and time for us, Hammocks aplenty to just laze out under the shade of the trees...Food borders on the decent to garma garam and the best part of it all is the service one gets just for Rs 2200 per head for a 2 day 1

Hey there, Yes the title does justice to itself, this past weekend was one where in there was a lot and lot of cricket, both on the telly and on the field. For starters, I am part of a team called BBSS (Bombat Brother's Sakath Sister's) and for this year's Maithri Challengers Trophy we had not 1 but 2 teams, named BBSS and BBSS Reloaded. All these 3 years of formation of the cricket team all that we had to show whenever we have had encounters with a team called Karavali were battle wounds and most of the time BBSS had to move out of a tournament licking their wounds. Then in the past year and half, BBSS has re-discovered itself, self-belief has flown in the veins of each and every member of BBSS, it started with the termendous victory in the Hoi Baprele tournament and now with BSS being crowned Champs of the Maithri Challengers Tournament, life indeed is on a high.
